Strasburg: 28
Madison County rolled into Strasburg undefeated and ranked #1 in the state Single A polls. When they left, they were still undefeated and ranked #1.
The first half was very fast-paced, physical, and low scoring. The Mountaineers (16-0, 4-0) jumped out to a 20-15 halftime lead behind Jerel Carter (8 points) and Logan Terrell (5 points). The Rams (7-8, 1-2) hung tough behind Jamar Crawford with 9 points.
In the second half, Madison stepped up their defensive pressure, holding the Rams to 13 second half points. Offensively, the Mountaineers went inside to their big man, Terrell, scoring 14 of his game high 19 points in the second half. Madison outscored Strasburg 31 to 13 in the second half.
Madison was led by Terrell and Carter, with 19 and 15 points, respectively. A.J. Butler chipped in 6 points.
Strasburg was led by Crawford with 16 points. Derek Buckley and Kaleb McKelvey added 5 and 4 points, respectively.
