Millbrook Pioneers cruise past Central Falcons

Millbrook trailed 7-6 at halftime to the Central Falcons in Woodstock on Friday, Oct. 24. However, the Pioneers (5-4, 3-3) came to life and scored 22 unanswered points in the third quarter, cruising by the Falcons, 34-19.

Millbrook scored on their first possession on a 27-yard pass from Andrew Oates to Bryan Tavers. The Falcons responded in the second quarter on Seth Bauserman's 1-yard touchdown run. The PAT by Nick Wakeman gave the Falcons a 7-6 lead at the half.

However, the third quarter was the undoing of the Falcons as Millbrook scored three touchdowns, two PATs and a 2-point conversion to go up 28-7 after three quarters. Millbrook added another touchdown in the fourth quarter.

The Falcons (1-8, 0-7) added two scores in the fourth quarter on a 2-yard touchdown run by Derek Copenhaver and a 64-yard touchdown pass from John Baroncelli to J.J. Armentrout.

Millbrook was led by Allen Silver and Jordan Harman with 76 yards rushing each. Quarterback Andrew Oates was 7-10, for 136 yards and two touchdowns.

Central was led by John Baroncelli with 11-21 passing, 170 yards and two touchdowns. J.J. Armentrout caught four passes for 112 yards and one touchdown. Seth Bauserman rushed for 57 yards and one touchdown.

Millbrook finishes the regular season at Sherando and Central closes out at Brentsville.
