Lady Rams topple Yellowjackets
Strasburg: 66
Moorefield: 34
The Strasburg Lady Rams basketball team employed a full court trapping defense and the Moorefield Yellowjackets committed 12 turnovers in the first quarter allowing the Rams an 18 - 4 lead. In the second quarter, the Yellowjackets saw the same pressure and went into the locker room down 42 - 12 at the half.
However, the Lady Jackets regrouped in the second half scoring 22 points and allowing the Rams 24.
The Yellowjackets(4 - 3) were led by Victoria Wright and Kendra Rhodes with 11 and 7 points respectively. Blair Goodall, Kristen Ball, and Crystal Simmons chipped in with 4 points each.
Jenna Smoot and reserve Jennifer Jackson scored 13 and 10 points for the Rams(4 - 2, 0 - 0). Corissa Alsberry and Stephanie Conde added 9 and 8 points, respectively, for the Rams.

Central Falcons vs Strasburg Rams
Strasburg: 30
In a game marred by 38 total fouls and 42 turnovers, Central (4-2, 1-0) used 6-of-6 free throw shooting and a blocked shot by Michael Marston in the last minutes of the game to defeat Strasburg (1-4, 0-0) 38 - 30 in Woodstock Monday night.
Stuart French scored the first five points for the Falcons and they never trailed the entire game. However, the Rams scored only 4 points in the third quarter allowing the Falcons to open up a seven point lead by the end of the quarter.
Jamar Crawford and Andrew Kibler scored seven of the Rams eleven points in the fourth quarter, but French and Heishman hit six straight free throws to secure the win for the Falcons.
Jamar Crawford led the Rams with 11 points. Leland Love and Andrew Kibler combined for 11 points for the Rams. Aaron Heishman and Stuart French led the Falcons with 12 and 10 points respectively. J.J. Armentrout added 9 points for Central.

Generals vs Rams
Stonewall: 48
The Strasburg and Stonewall boy's basketball teams were looking for their first win of the young season on Tuesday, Dec. 9. The Generals (0 - 4) led the entire game until the end of the third quarted when Jordan Williams hit a jumper to tie the game at 37.
Strasburg made the first five points of the 4th quarter and never trailed the rest of the game. However, there was drama at the end of the game with the Rams clinging to a 50-48 lead, the Rams turned the ball over giving the Generals a chance to tie with 27 seconds left. The Generals missed an easy layup and immediately fouled. Jordan Williams calmly sank both free throws giving the Rams their first win, 52-48.
Stonewall was led by David Scott and Phillip Hovatter with 20 and 18 points, respectively. The Rams were led by Leland Love and Kaleb McKelvey with 12 and 11 points, respectively. Jordan Williams and Jamar Crawford combined for 13 points.

Strasburg Lady Rams top Central, 41-30.
The Strasburg and Central girls basketball teams may have thought games were won by turnovers and fouls Tuesday night, Dec. 2, in Woodstock.
There were 24 fouls and 20 turnovers by both teams in the first half alone and only 31 points combined by both teams in the first half as the Lady Rams (1-0, 0-0) went to the locker room with a 16-15 lead at the half.
Strasburg opened the third quarter with 5 unanswered points and outscored the Falcons (0-2, 0-0) 12-6 in the quarter. The team never looked back, cruising to the 41-30 win.
Junior center Jenna Smoot scored 12 of her game-high 16 points in the second half to lead the Rams. Jacyln Ayers and Bethany Doman chipped in with 10 and 6 points, respectively.
The Falcons were led by guards Kelsey Bowman and Ashley Jenigan with 10 points each. Lauren Heishman added 5 points for the Falcons.
